BayCare Clinic Foundation

A foundation supporting health and livelihood

The BayCare Clinic Foundation is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization created to promote causes and organizations deemed essential to our mission of providing people improved health and livelihood.

All grants, whether large or small, directly benefit northeastern Wisconsin residents or organizations with whom we share a vision, a purpose and a goal of improving our communities.

We are proud to support educational institutions, community-enriching events and initiatives focused on health and wellness issues.

The BayCare Clinic Foundation is dedicated to promoting the health and well-being of Northeast Wisconsin residents.

Founded on July 19, 2000, the BayCare Clinic Foundation is a domestic corporation organized under the laws of Wisconsin, dedicated to promoting the health and well-being of residents across Northeast Wisconsin. Guided by a committed Board of Directors, including healthcare professionals and community leaders, the Foundation has grown into a vital force for advancing healthcare access, education, and leadership in the region.

The Foundation’s mission is realized through a robust portfolio of scholarship and grant programs that support students pursuing careers in emergency medical services, healthcare, and global health. Since 2017, BayCare Clinic Foundation has awarded scholarships to EMT, Advanced EMT, and Paramedic students at Northeast Wisconsin Technical College (NWTC) and Lakeshore Technical College (LTC), helping to alleviate tuition burdens and encourage entry into critical frontline roles.

In 2022, the Foundation expanded its reach with scholarships for healthcare students at NWTC, LTC, Fox Valley Technical College (FVTC), Bellin College of Nursing (BCON), and University of Wisconsin-Green Bay (UWGB), totaling $16,000 annually across 26 scholarships. These awards reflect the Foundation’s commitment to cultivating a skilled and compassionate healthcare workforce.

Furthering its impact, the Medich Family Scholarship for Global Health Education, established in 2023, supports medical students in the Wisconsin Academy of Rural Medicine (WARM) program at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health, encouraging global health experiences with awards up to $2,500.

The Foundation also recognizes leadership and community engagement through the Purple Aces Scholarship, supporting young women involved in the Purple Aces Basketball Club, and the Summerside Leadership Award, which honors UW Madison medical students demonstrating excellence during clinical rotations at Aurora BayCare Medical Center.

In addition to student support, the Foundation invests in faculty professional development at NWTC, FVTC, and BCON, ensuring educators are equipped to train the next generation of healthcare professionals. These scholarships, capped at $4,000 annually per institution, reflect a long-term commitment to educational excellence.

Through these initiatives, the BayCare Clinic Foundation continues to shape the future of healthcare in Northeast Wisconsin, empowering individuals, strengthening institutions, and building healthier communities.

Community Engagement: BayCare Clinic Century Ride

Since 2018, the BayCare Clinic Century Ride has served as a signature community event that embodies the Foundation’s commitment to promoting healthy lifestyles and community involvement. This annual cycling event brings together riders of all skill levels to enjoy scenic routes across Northeast Wisconsin, while raising awareness and funds to support the Foundation’s mission. The Century Ride not only encourages physical activity and wellness, but also strengthens community bonds and supports local healthcare initiatives, making it a cornerstone of the Foundation’s outreach efforts.

Through these initiatives, the BayCare Clinic Foundation continues to shape the future of healthcare in Northeast Wisconsin, empowering individuals, strengthening institutions, and building healthier communities.

BayCare Clinic Foundation donations are many and far-reaching. We have supported hundreds of worthy causes.
