We're thrilled to share some recent news and updates from the BayCare Clinic Foundation. First and foremost, we congratulate Mike Matzke, who was recently elected to serve as Secretary/Treasurer of our Board of Directors through April 30, 2026.
The Foundation also has exciting updates regarding our grants and scholarships. We recently sanctioned a $5,000 grant for the BRAs of the Bay event. This initiative is dedicated to educating the community about reconstruction rights and raises funds for breast cancer charities, a cause close to our hearts.
Furthermore, we are proud to support the future of healthcare through the Christopher Sorrells & Aurora BayCare Medical Center Emergency Medical Services Scholarship. This scholarship program is designed to assist students pursuing advanced education in the healthcare sector. By facilitating these scholarships, we aspire to contribute to the development of more qualified healthcare workers, ensuring the community continues to receive essential services.
This fall, seven deserving students from NWTC have been awarded scholarships, preparing them for promising careers in the healthcare field. Brooke Breitrick, Joshua Brown, Nathaniel Cumberland, Jordyn Halstrom, Tirzah Kravick, Payton Resulta, and Abigail Snell have each been rewarded between $400 and $1,000 in recognition of their hard work and dedication. We wish them the very best of luck in their studies and future endeavors.
Together, we are making strides in advancing healthcare and community wellbeing. Thank you for your continued support of the BayCare Clinic Foundation.
