At the BayCare Clinic Foundation, we believe in the power of community-driven innovation to shape a healthier, more resilient future. This quarter, we’re proud to announce several impactful grants and awards that reflect our commitment to health, wellness, education, and mental well-being across Northeast Wisconsin.
Health & Wellness Grant
We’re thrilled to award a $2,000 Health & Wellness grant to the Foxhead Regenerative Agriculture Project for their visionary initiative, Plots for People. Launching Summer 2025, this program transforms underutilized land into vibrant community education farms. In partnership with Boys & Girls Clubs and local organizations, youth will:
- Build raised garden beds using regenerative methods
- Learn nutrition and cooking skills
- Practice water conservation and composting
- Explore food systems and climate solutions
This initiative bridges youth development, environmental restoration, and public health—empowering the next generation to steward land and community with care.
Mental Health Initiative Grants:
Mental wellness is foundational to thriving communities. We’re proud to support two programs making a difference:
GRIT 920 received a $500 grant for their adaptive yoga program supporting young women facing anxiety, depression, and chronic stress. These trauma-informed sessions foster emotional resilience through movement and mindfulness.
Willow Tree was awarded a $4,000 grant for their LIFESAVER Benefit program, which provides advocacy and support for children and families affected by abuse. Since 2011, Willow Tree has conducted over 6,500 child forensic interviews in a safe, compassionate environment.
Supporting Survivors: BRAs of the Bay
We’re honored to award a $5,000 grant to BRAs of the Bay, an annual event hosted by Plastic Surgery & Skin Specialists that raises awareness around breast reconstruction rights of mastectomy patients. Funds raised through BRAs of the Bay go to the Ribbon of Hope Foundation, which supports breast cancer patients in Northeast Wisconsin.
Faculty Professional Development Awards
Investing in educators means investing in the future of healthcare. We’re proud to support faculty from three institutions:
- Kathie DeMuth
- Maria Luebke
- Heidi Hartle
- Jeremiah Olson
Northeast WI Technical College
- Jesse Anderson
- Anissa Champeau Achterberg
Each recipient receives up to $2,000 to attend national conferences that enhance their teaching and leadership in healthcare education.
Medich Family Scholarship for Global Health Education
We’re excited to support Jonathan Bryan and Caroline Klessig, recipients of the Medich Family Scholarship. Each will receive up to $2,200 to participate in global health experiences through the Wisconsin Academy of Rural Medicine (WARM) Program—broadening their perspectives and deepening their commitment to underserved communities.
Together, these initiatives reflect the BCC Foundation’s mission to foster health, education, and equity across our region. We’re proud to stand behind these changemakers and look forward to the impact they’ll create.
