Dr. Young earned her medical degree from Trinity School of Medicine in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. She is board-certified by the American Board of Radiology in Interventional and Diagnostic Radiology.
She is passionate about interventional radiology, a specialty that combines x-rays with minimally invasive surgery to perform procedures like tumor destruction and blood vessel reconstruction through tiny incisions. Dr. Young has spent the past five years advocating for rural medicine, making significant impacts in underserved areas. She has spoken at conferences to highlight the need for support in rural communities, especially for conditions like DVT and PE. Additionally, she serves as a medical advisor for an ultrasound tech company, developing new image guidance technology to improve interventional procedures.
Outside of work, she enjoys winter sports, particularly skiing and curling, and holds a pilot's license, which she uses to fly with her husband.
