The BayCare Clinic Foundation is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization created to promote causes and organizations deemed essential to our mission of providing people improved health and livelihood.
All grants, whether large or small, directly benefit northeastern Wisconsin residents or organizations with whom we share a vision, a purpose and a goal of improving our communities.
We are proud to support educational institutions, community-enriching events and initiatives focused on health and wellness issues.

Our commitment to education
The BayCare Clinic Foundation supports many educational efforts and initiatives that meet our Foundation’s mission.
This includes:
Annual contributions are made to Bellin College, Fox Valley Technical College, and Northeast Wisconsin Technical College in support of the BayCare Clinic Faculty Professional Development Award program. This program provides awarded healthcare faculty members up to $2,000 each towards professional development.
The awards are given to faculty members in recognition of:
- Excellence in instruction
- Innovation in education
- Commitment to student achievement
- Advancement of curriculum
- Devotion to the healthcare profession
Scholarships offered to area students pursuing higher education
This includes our Healthcare Scholarship program, which annually distributes $16,000 to area students. Scholarships for this are handled and distributed directly by the following higher education institutions: Bellin College of Nursing, Fox Valley Technical College, Lakeshore Technical College, Northeast Wisconsin Technical College and University of Wisconsin-Green Bay. Helen and George Medich and Medich Family Scholarship for Global Health Education
The purpose of the Helen and George Medich and Medich Family Scholarship for Global Health Education is the encourage the UWSMPH Medical Students enrolled in the WARM program at Aurora BayCare Medical Center to participate in a global health experience during their medical school education by defraying some of the costs of such an experience. A global health experience not only helps broadens the student’s awareness and perspective regarding how health care is provided in other societies, it helps build intercultural bridges with other medical professionals and patients. Such an experience also helps develop the maturity, commitment, and resourcefulness essential to a career of providing high-quality medical care to the individual patient, as well as positively impacting our local and global communities.
This program is designed to provide financial assistance of up to $1500 per year to:
- A UWSMPH WARM student at Aurora BayCare Medical Center who is seeking to participate in a global health experience, or who has previously participated in a global health experience during medical school.
To be considered, applications are due by 11:59 p.m., June 30, 2025.
Recipients of this scholarship will be formally acknowledged with an award letter in late July.
Christopher Sorrells & Aurora BayCare Medical Center Emergency Medical Services Scholarship - EMT or Advanced EMT
This program is designed to provide $500 to EMT or Advanced EMT students as tuition reimbursement. The funds may only be used toward tuition reimbursement for the EMT or Advanced EMT programs, and are awarded on the following criteria:
- Enrollment in either EMT or Advanced EMT program at Northeast Wisconsin Technical College or Lakeshore Technical College
- Financial need
- Applicant’s ability to neatly, legibly and fully complete the application process
To be considered, applications are due by 11:59 p.m., February 28, 2025.
Recipients of this scholarship will be formally acknowledged with an award letter in late March.
Orthopedic & Sports Medicine BayCare Clinic Scholarship
The Orthopedic & Sports Medicine BayCare Clinic Scholarship is awarded to graduating high school seniors who are active members of the Purple Aces Basketball Club and exemplify its mission of developing young women with confidence and leadership skills - empowering them through basketball.
Applicants of the scholarship understand and agree to abide by all NCAA eligibility requirements. BayCare accepts no liability if an applicant does not follow NCAA scholarship rules.
To be considered, applications are due by 11:59 p.m., February 28, 2025.
Recipients of the scholarship will be formally acknowledged with an award letter in late March.
