Each year, Plastic Surgery & Skin Specialists by BayCare Clinic^® hosts BRAs of the Bay to help close the loop on breast cancer and raise awareness of the breast reconstruction rights of breast cancer survivors.

Federal law mandates coverage of breast reconstruction surgery for most breast cancer patients, even if reconstruction is delayed until after cancer treatment is completed.

Undergoing breast reconstruction can have profound physical and emotional benefits for women. It can help enhance their confidence and self-image after a mastectomy.

Plastic Surgery & Skin Specialists by BayCare Clinic is a proud recipient of the Breast Reconstruction Awareness Fund Public Awareness Award for 2023. The award supports our efforts to increase breast reconstruction surgery awareness and education to women and their family members.
