About Alex Charboneau, MD
Dr. Charboneau is a colon and rectal surgeon who specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of colorectal cancer, diverticular disease, inflammatory bowel disease, pelvic floor disorders, and benign anorectal conditions. He has expertise in robotic and minimally invasive surgical techniques and is committed to providing personalized evidence-based care tailored to each patient's needs.
Originally from Minnesota, Dr. Charboneau earned his medical degree from the University of Minnesota. He completed his general surgery residency at Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle, Washington, followed by fellowship training in Colon and Rectal Surgery at the University of Louisville. He is board certified in General Surgery and board eligible in Colon and Rectal Surgery through the American Board of Surgery.
Dr. Charboneau values a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach to care and enjoys helping patients achieve better health through compassionate, individualized treatment. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family, fishing, camping, golfing, and hunting.
